Dealing with allegations of research misconduct
All articles submitted to the journal Sur Le Journalisme must be originals. They must not have been submitted to another journal prior, nor been published elsewhere, in whole or in part (including conference proceedings).
Articles are first verified for their originality. The Plagius tool is used to analyze the manuscript and detect any plagiarism.
If any plagiarism or self-plagiarism is detected before publication, the journal has the authority to:
- a) Request the article be rewritten, or
- b) Reject the article. In both cases, the authors will be contacted and asked to provide explanations.
If plagiarism or self-plagiarism is discovered after the manuscript has been published, the article will be withdrawn from the journal after contact has been made with the author. The journal will publish the following notice on its website: 'Article withdrawn for failure to comply with Sur Le Journalisme's Code of Ethics'.)
