Review Policies
Articles will be evaluated in two stages:
1. Initial evaluation by editor (desk review). This stage involves assessing the originality and newness of the article, including the overall quality of the work. The text will also be evaluated to see if it meets the focus and scope of the journal and the submission standards.
2. Blind peer review. Manuscripts will be submitted for evaluation by at least two reviewers who are experts in the topic or in aspects addressed by the study (theoretical framework, research methodology, geographic space, etc.).
Evaluations must be based on the reviwer sheet provided by the journal. The first round of evaluations takes one to three months to complete.
At the end of the review process, the editors or publishers responsible for the thematic dossiers (when applicable) may decide to:
a) Accept the article with minor modifications;
b) Request substantial modifications and a new evaluation;
c) Reject the manuscript.
Introductions to thematic dossiers, interviews, and other texts that do not adhere to the scientific article format have a separate editorial policy they must follow, and are reviewed specifically by the journal's editors.
